WELCOME TO KASAALI COFFEE FARMERS COOPERATIVE SOCIETY.
Kasaali Farmers’ Cooperative Society Limited is a member-owned Cooperative Society registered under the Cooperative Societies Act of Uganda on 10th December 2013. The society is located in Central Uganda Kyotera District, Kasaali Town Council. Kasaali is a Fairtrade certified under FLO ID 40220 and a registered exporter.
Kasaali Coffee Farmers Cooperative Society has an Altitude ranging from 1160-1440mm and produces Natural Robusta Coffee. Currently has 1078 members segregated by gender as 50% are Male, 16% Youth, and 34% Female. Currently, the Society is engaged in supporting farmers to carry out Lead Agro Enterprise development, with a focus on coffee as the most viable enterprise based on profitability and market demand.
Kasaali Coffee is currently comprised of 52 fully registered producer groups in Rakai and Kyotera Districts. Kasfa currently operates in 11 subcounties of urban Kalisizo, kasaali, Lwanda, Kifamba, Kirumba, kabila, Nabigasa, kakuuto, Kalisizo Roral, Byakabanda and Kasasa. The Cooperative has a General Meeting of members that elects the Board. There are sub-committees at the Cooperative which include; Human Resource, Supervisory, Environment, and Finance Committees.

FAIRTRADE CERTIFIED COFFEE PRODUCERS
We produce and Export Fairtrade Certified Natural Robusta Coffee. All coffee is traceable down to farmers at household level hence maintaining exceptional quality on the International Markets. Our business model focuses on meeting all farmer’s needs in a professional manner.
How we operate
Smallholder farmers grow coffee on farms close to their homes. There are two seasons from which they pick red cherries from their farms, dry them, undertake primary processing then deliver them to the cooperative where its weighed, and members are paid for those that wish to take their cash instantly or save part of their income in the SACCO (Members Bank). Members are issued with payment voucher that serves as receipt detailing volumes delivered and value. At the kasaali coffee hulling is undertaken and then graded and color sorted before taking in to buyers.
